We at Mackay Curtain Making Service have been serving the Mackay community since 1985, providing a personalised service to businesses and residents. We are proud to be part of the Luxaflex® Window Fashions Gallery since 2009 and our staff are always keeping up with the latest trends and attend regular training sessions to improve and adapt on our extensive range of window blinds, shades, shutters, customised curtains, giftware, and furniture. We even provide a re-upholstery service and work with local designers to make your home look the best and suit local conditions. We provide external awnings and cyclone-rated roller shutters to protect your home in high wind conditions.

We have solutions on managing the temperature of each room for your comfort while retaining the style you prefer both inside and out. Internal and external window coverings can now be motorised and set with timers to assure the right temperature and light in each room.

I am a born and bred local girl who started my career in curtains at Batros department store at the young age of 13. I began working for Mackay Curtain Making Service in 2000 and together with Gino bought the business in 2003. My role in the business is a consultant. I help clients achieve the best outcome for their budget and needs. I have a strong focus on customer service and love it when clients have their new window coverings installed and are extremely happy with the outcome. I also handle all of the administration for the business and any commercial work we quote on.
Gino
I have now lived in Queensland for 31 years. When Deanne and I bought MCMS in 2003, I had to quickly adapt to working with a large number of staff. I also had to learn to manufacture blinds and curtains as well as install them. I currently attend site visits in clients’ homes, measure and consult for their window coverings and install all of the internal and external blinds, awnings, and curtains. I have a passion for working with clients to achieve exactly what they want and need in their homes.
Dominic – Service Manager
I have been involved in my parents’ business since I was a young teenager. I would help in the shop and help dad on measures and installs. I have an eye for colour and style and love working with the new modern trends. I like working with a broad range and age of clients and love the technology side of our industry. I love to work with motorisation and promote the product. My current role in the business is as the service manager. My role includes consulting with clients, onsite visits to measure and install and to follow up after installations. I also order most of the products for clients. I like to always leave a site spotless, and my priority is to make sure the client is always happy.
